It's been over 12 

years since I started Photography by Roy and I still love my job as much as I did in the beginning. (Thousands of clients served, over 800 newborns and counting!)

My photographic journey started a few years before digital began to transform the industry. Using film was a great way to learn my craft and for personal projects, I sometimes still shoot medium format film.

Since 1999 I've been involved in the photographic industry in one way or another. From working in a lab professionally retouching images, to maintaining an e-commerce site selling photographic gear to working at weddings and events. Each of these jobs has helped me develop skills that I now use on a daily basis.

I consider myself very fortunate to be able to photograph for a living.

My shooting style is always evolving, my preference is to shoot using more natural light and capturing lifestyle portraiture.

Work Ethics & Personality

Easy going yet always after the perfect shot; and always excited to do what I do. I usually book one client per day, and always make sure there is no need to rush during a session. Ask any of my clients and they'll probably tell you my patience and professionalism are what stand out the most.

It is with great pleasure that we have an opportunity to write this review about Roy. Our beautiful baby girl was 6 days old when we started looking around for a newborn photographer and we are so happy we stumbled upon Photography with Roy.

My wife originally spoke with Roy and could not stop talking about how pleasant the conversation was. We immediately knew that Roy would be the person to share this experience with.

Roy is, with no doubt, very professional, punctual, understanding, patient and a real people person. His work ethic was definitely a reflection of his character which was obvious even before the photo shoot started.

We thought the photo shoot would be exhausting and stressful but Roy made everything so easy and guided us every step of the way. He was great with our little one and got some really amazing shots. These photos are truly a snapshot in time and thanks to Roy, we have some beautiful memories that we can cherish.

The icing on this entire experience was that Roy was able to come to our house which avoided us from traveling to someone's studio. This was much more comfortable for us and our baby and can't thank Roy enough..

The best of the best!

Roy is obviously a very talented photographer, as you can see on the website. What you don't see is how gentle he is with the newborns and how attentive and kind he is to a new mother who is recovering from her delivery.

My family and I felt very relaxed and comfortable with Roy and his professionalism and talent is very much appreciated. He's the best of the best!
